The certified translation of an official document is a legal instrument which has to conform as far as possible to the content and the form of the original. In order to be accepted by foreign authorities a sworn translator has to certify the completeness and the correctness of the translation by stamping and signing the document.

The Higher Regional Court of Hamm authorized me to issue certifications for translations from and into the English and French language. This authorization is renewed every 5 years.

The translation of the following documents usually requires a certification:

Sometimes, foreign authorities require a “Überbeglaubigung“ for a translation which is the legalization of the translator’s signature. It is issued by the Regional Court at the translator’s location which has the translator’s signature sample on file. I offer the service of obtaining this legalization at the Regional Court of Münster if you inform me at the time of your order placement that you need one. Please note, however, that the processing time required by the Regional Court is beyond my control.
